Our client a Leading FMCG Food Company is currently seeking for a National Sales Manager.

Job description

• Drive growth of Company business in assigned channels
• Set directions and measurable KPIs ensuring division interacting towards the desire objectives.
• Responsible for the company’s national sales for assigned channels and minimizing return rate within the objectives.
• Liaise closely with the Sales Director in relating to the P&L matters and others inter-department functionality.
• Conduct monthly business review (management review) within the group and half yearly review with the regional office.
• Planed and developed sales and marketing distribution strategies especially in the area of new product development.
• Provide day to day functional coaching and leadership to all Direct Reports.
• Work closely to engage, influence and provide leadership to the external team to ensure execution excellence and close handle on business performance.
• Lead weekly/monthly business reviews with external team and be the key person providing them with focus, direction and strategic/operational insights.
• Concentrate on distributors teams capability building through distributor relationship or leveraging of best practices and experience.
• Partner with the Marketing team on all new launches and review volume, insights and together to develop tactical action plans addressing opportunities/core issues.
• Works with Head of Sales and Finance to ensure adherence to all controls processes and drives this through team.
• Ensures effective optimization of resources within the team and develop good challenges/opportunities for direct reports to learn and grow
• Understands the basic business fundamentals behind supply chain/ warehousing/ manufacturing/ finance to be able to leverage of this knowledge when providing strategic plans and leading the Sales function
• Be the point of contact to organize required market visits for new hires and counterparts from other markets seeking to gain exposure and learnings from the Malaysia market


• University graduate or above, preferably in marketing, Business Admin or Economics.
• Strong Sales career in FMCG and MNC type environment
• Minimal 8 years of Sales experience, preferably with experience both in Key Accounts and Regional Sales
• Strong track record of proven results and ability to build teams/capabilities bottoms up
• Strategic sales person who is confident, intelligent, able to put well thought ideas across and influence both internal and external partners to obtain buy-in and gain support to execute as a team
• Has good overall end-to-end knowledge on warehousing, supply chain, operations, marketing, finance and positive track record of developing Distributor relationships.
