Company Overview

Our client is a large conglomerate with multiple manufacturing facilities across Malaysia. They are looking to recruit a newly created Supply Chain Manager role to provide focus and direction to their overall operations.

Job Description

1) Manage the entire supply chain function which includes purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, production planning, scheduling, warehousing, shipping and other areas are required.
2) Develop analytics, system and data management capabilities including metrics and reports
3) Develop appropriate policies and procedures to ensure strict compliance with corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
4) Oversee organization wide management of strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting and evaluation of services
5) To lead and develop strategy, policies and procedures related to supply chain activities by establishing and implementing short and long term departmental goals, standard operating procedures, etc.
6) Consistently pursue best management practices and introduce new initiatives to improve and increase the efficiency levels of supply chain function.
7) Identify and manage risk within the supply chain. Develop business continuity plans to ensure continued supply in an emergency situations.

Requirements

1) Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operation, Logistics or other relevant studies. MBA holder is an added advantage.
2) Minimum 10 years working experience in supply chain management including sourcing, production planning, warehousing, shipping in manufacturing environment.
3) Strong supply chain management in a sizeable manufacturing industry with end to end business processes and experience in driving operations excellence.
